About Leadership Warren

LEADERSHIP WARREN is a program offered through the Warren County Regional Chamber of Commerce to individuals who have a deep commitment to our community, who have achieved high levels of leadership in their centers of influence, and who are likely to assume greater responsibility in the future. An intensive ten (10) month program, LEADERSHIP WARREN is modeled in the tradition of 500 community leadership development programs nationwide. After graduating from this program, participants return to their individual organizations and businesses to strengthen and enhance the overall development of their business environment and community.

"The Leadership Warren Program eased my transition from a staff position in a large corporate enterprise to a customer high contact in a small community bank. The program presented each of the major local industries in Warren and introduced me to key decision makers, enabling me to become productive for my bank even before the program was finished.

~ Thomas Marshall, Jr. Skylands Community Bank

LEADERSHIP WARREN goals are to:

  • Identify existing and potential community leaders, and focus them on the issues that face Warren County and its position in the region and the state.
  • Instill in these leaders an understanding of trusteeship – a sense of personal responsibility for the well being of their communities.
  • Encourage leadership skills development and interactive, creative problem solving.
  • Promote relationship building to help your business prosper through valuable networking.

“Leadership Warren was a wonderfully rewarding and exciting activity. I learned an amazing amount of valuable information and had the opportunity to visit with remarkable individuals and organizations throughout Warren County. I highly recommend this program for anyone who lives or works in the area. The modest investment in time and money will provide immeasurable rewards.”

~ Dr. Steven E. McHugh, Sr., Professor - Centenary College

Participation in LEADERSHIP WARREN is open to members of the business community, living and/or working in the Warren County Region. A maximum of 15 individuals will be appointed to participate in the program.
